Adept is a Swedish metalcore band. Formed in 2004, the band is known for blending aggressive metalcore with melodic post-hardcore elements, creating a sound characterized by intense breakdowns, soaring choruses, and emotionally charged lyrics. After a hiatus beginning in 2019, Adept reunited in November 2024 for a 20th-anniversary performance at Corefest in Stuttgart, Germany. They marked their return with the release of a new single, "Heaven," on May 12, 2025, their first new material in nine years.
