DIVERS†CROIX is a Japanese visual kei band that emerged in 2020. Initially conceived as an April Fools' joke by singer-songwriter and comedian TinkerBell "tink" Hatsuno, the project gained unexpected popularity and evolved into a full-fledged band.
The band's music pays homage to the classic '90s visual kei sound, blending it with absurdist lyrics that often explore unconventional themes. Their debut album, "Sukoshi ookii koe," released on July 12, 2023, features eleven tracks, including five digital singles released since June 2020.
On November 13, 2024, DIVERS†CROIX released their second full-length album, "1-nensei ya 2-nensei no aisatsu" (translated as "1st and 2nd Graders Greeting Cheerfully"), available on digital platforms worldwide. This album continues their signature style, combining nostalgic visual kei elements with unique lyrical content.
The band is known domestically as Kanari Tanbi and has garnered attention for their distinctive approach to the visual kei genre. Their music and performances offer a blend of classic visual rock aesthetics with a modern, satirical twist.
