GUN is a Scottish hard rock band formed in Glasgow in 1987. Known for their energetic blend of hard rock and heavy metal, they gained prominence with their debut album Taking On the World in 1989. The band achieved significant success with their 1994 cover of Cameo's "Word Up!", which reached the UK Top 10 and earned them an MTV Europe Music Award for Best Cover.
