The Japanese band machine blends industrial and hard rock genres, creating a distinctive sound within the visual kei scene. Formed as a side project by Kiyoshi (known from hide with Spread Beaver) and HAKUEI (from PENICILLIN), the duo presents themselves as futuristic superheroes on a mission to teach the world how to rock. Their debut single, "Hero," is among their most recognized tracks. Originating from Japan, machine has produced several albums and singles, including "captain sonic tune," "e.rect," and "Salvation D9." After a hiatus in 2002, they reunited in 2004, continuing to release new music and perform live.
