Massive Ego is a British band that originated in the United Kingdom. Their musical style has evolved over time, encompassing genres such as darkwave, electronic, and gothic. Initially formed in 1996 by singer Marc Massive, the band began with a Eurodance and Hi-NRG sound, primarily releasing cover songs. Over the years, they transitioned to a darker and more industrial-influenced style, especially after joining the German label Out of Line Music in 2015.
In March 2022, Massive Ego announced their disbandment due to health issues and personal circumstances. However, they reformed in 2024, introducing a new lineup and sound. The current members include Marc Massive (vocals), Oliver Frost (percussion), Lloyd Price (keyboards and programming), and Porl Young (guitar and programming).
