Plasticdrop is an Italian band from Cagliari, Sardinia, known for their eclectic heavy rock sound that blends elements of alternative rock, post-grunge, hard rock, stoner rock, and punk rock. Their music combines melodic and heavy components, with lyrics addressing personal relationships, feelings of isolation associated with island life, and societal degradation.
The band consists of Paolo Pani (lead vocals, guitar), Martina Manca (bass), and Alessandro Brundu (drums). They met as teenagers while playing in different bands at the same studio and officially formed Plasticdrop in 2016. Their debut EP, "Phoenicopter," was released in 2019, followed by singles "Life" in October 2024 and "Death (Not for You)" in November 2024, both leading up to their anticipated full-length debut album.
In November 2024, Plasticdrop signed with Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records to release their debut album. The band expressed excitement about this collaboration, noting it as a significant step from their previous DIY approach.
