The fact that the guitarist of a traditional thrash metal band was influenced by one of the leaders of the metalcore movement is something you almost don't dare to say out loud...
If it wasn't for TRIVIUM's ‘The Crusade’, which made the band exciting for all metalheads in 2006 - including GODSLAVE guitarist Manni! He was inspired by the album and practised, practised, practised to get as close as possible to TRIVIUM's Matt Heafy...
...and he managed to do so and proves it in the powerful cover of ‘To the rats’, which could almost pass for a pure GODLSAVE song.
With ‘To the rats’, the five-piece from Saarland embark on a journey through the most important songs that have made them the musicians they are today - and it all ends on 21 February with the release of the tribute album ‘Champions’ - a full 20 tracks with many unexpected surprises.
