Song Synopsis:A thousand wanderers lost in a strange land. They trudge day and night through a vast desolate valley under ominous skies with only skeletal remains to litter the way. Slowly dying of thirst and starvation, they are desperate to find a haven and as the pack grows weak, a hungering gaze waits no longer. “The Crow”, Yzanthu, “Harvester of Flesh”, plummets to devour the travelers, feasting for the first time in centuries. The soldiers and clerics stand no chance, their attacks appearing to be fruitless against this giant rotting avian monstrosity. After the attack begins, the remnant battalion of lurkers engage. Never before have humans seen The Soulless. Absolute chaos erupts as Yzanthu swallows corpses whole and rips others apart, striking fear into the heart of all who laid eyes upon it. The herd splits in two when Mattendas sees an opportunity to flee, and many follow with him.
Yzanthu cares not for the ones who got away, as it was all a part of the plan to force a portion northwards to come across the city of Hedon, where the Stag will wait until the time is right to collect their souls.Yzanthu had been watching for a while from afar and had its eyes set on a gem that laid within the human settlement. It instantly sought out Ghale as the perfect tool to control not only the Lurkers, but humans as well. As a Luminary Ritualist, Ghale had years of experience in mass connection and mind control making her the perfect candidate to lead a legion of lurkers at The Crow’s behest. It makes sure to corner her, striking a deal that it will spare her and the rest of those left if they surrender and follow it to a city known as Grocinia. Ghale accepts, and in doing so The Crow’s breakfast ceases.
