Sweden’s SMASH ATOMS return with another new music video, this time for “Buried Under The Open Sky” from their stellar debut album. “Buried Under The Open Sky” continues the band’s spin on a familiar and nostalgic sound for a new generation enhanced by a quality music video featuring band performance intercut with added footage.
“Smash Atoms are very proud to announce the release of their latest video for the song, ‘Buried Under The Open Sky.’ The video was filmed in and around the Gothenburg area by acclaimed photographer and creative mind Lars Ardarve (Pain of Salvation, Darkwater),” shares guitarist Martin Söderqvist.
“The song sends a powerful message of individual freedom, making your own choices in life, and standing by those choices until the last of your days. The riff was just there when I grabbed my acoustic one day and then the whole thing just unraveled.”
“Buried Under The Open Sky” follows “Bring the River," “Down” and “Into The Light” from the group’s acclaimed debut effort. Last year, the self-titled album introduced many to a promising and inspiring new rock band whose music was even added to over two dozen US commercial rock radio stations.
'Smash Atoms' was released as a limited (300) Insomnia colored splatter LP, a jewelcase CD or digital options

Highly influenced by the ‘90s SMASH ATOMS intend to bring it all back in a new form. The quartet’s enjoyment and intention when creating their first album was to highlight a warm yet captivating sound. While the influences are obvious, there is something charming, nostalgic and infectiously endearing about the group’s material culminating in what will surface as a very strong album mixed/mastered at Crehate Studios (In Flames, Scorpions, Avatar) in Gothenburg, Sweden.
