Mala Bësta will be the debut studio album by the Galician doom
band Luciférnaga: a journey through the darkness of the human
condition, destruction, and the pain of loss.
The introspective and evocative lyrics—addressing themes ranging
from humanity’s self-destruction to the inevitable pull toward
darkness—infuse Mala Bësta with a poetic and intoxicating
pessimism, magnified by the use of Galician as the main language
across all tracks. Luciférnaga’s heavy and immersive riffs push the
listener into a sort of procession that leads to the darkest corners.
Formed in 2024 by musicians with over 20 years of stage
experience, Luciférnaga is more than just a band; it is a sonic entity
that embodies the very essence of doom and stoner metal. Each
member brings a wealth of experience, having played in well-known
Galician rock and metal bands throughout their prolific careers,
including: Supa Scoopa, The Mirage, Supernatural, In.Verno, N.O.T.,
and Mano de Piedra.
Released in late March, Retroxénese is the lead single and video
preview of Luciférnaga’s first album. It is an ode to the destruction of
the human race as the only path to the planet’s salvation. In the
band’s own words:
“Earth deserves for hell to take us...”
